Choosing within this range

Every reference of this range states its section, wall thickness and grade. Two points help you pick the right one.

Reading a tube designation

A designation gives the outer dimensions and the wall thickness in millimetres, then the grade. Check the inner dimension when a part must slide inside.

Finish and weld seam

Hot-finished tubes keep a raw surface. Cold-formed tubes have sharper corners and a visible internal seam that can matter for tight fits.
